![]() Considering the amount of time I've spent with synths and music to see the best sound I've ever heard and how it was created - care to tackle it? Even if you don't have an xpander I'm sure you could get close with something else? Here's my attempt:ġ. I'd pay very good money to this recreated. The best synth sound I've ever heard is the chemical bros orange wedge. ![]() Mine is set pretty high, at about 75%.Īlright I've got a challenge. ![]() You want it sound like its popping out halfway between each beat. LFO: ramp wave (reverse saw) modulating filter cutoff, rate quarter note, adjust LFO amount until you get the proper brightness and timing. Another square wave, 24dB filter with 236 Hz cutoff.ģ. Played an octave higher, you can hear this one by itself for just a second around 2:11.Ģ. Chorus settings could use some more tweaking, but currently I have it set at: low feedback, 11.3 ms delay, 0.33 Hz rate, 30% Mod Amount, Mix/Dry 50%.ġ. I usually don't use chorus on bass because it should be very stable, but it really sounds like it's moving a bit on the track. Then use a small amount of stereo chorus to add width and movement. The big wide low end that has some subtle L/R movement (can hear it better 3:11) sounds like a simple square wave with a 24dB filter. It's kinda tough to really hear the detail in the bass, but from what I could hear:ġ.
